Bayern Munich have shown a shock interest in signing former Swansea flop Alex Pozuelo, according to AS.
Pozuelo, 25, was tipped for great things when he came through the Real Betis academy but his career has drifted somewhat since.
The Spanish midfielder made 22 appearances during his 12-month stint with Swansea during the 2013/14 campaign before a move back to Spain to join Rayo Vallecano 12 months later resulted in little game time.
Pozuelo has now spent the last year with Genk where he has produced his best football since leaving Betis and his performances in the Europa League and surprisingly caught the eye of European giants Bayern.
Only Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Giuliano (5) has registered more assists in the Europa League this season than Pozuelo (4), while he has created at least six more chances than any other player in UEFA’s second-tier competition.
