Alexis Sanchez hoping to force through Manchester City move
Alexis Sanchez is prepared to take less money in order to force through a move to Manchester City this summer, reports the Independent.
Paris Saint-Germain looked to have been in the driving seat to sign the Arsenal star and were prepared to pay him handsomely to move to Ligue 1.
However, the Chilean is willing to earn less money per week in order to stay in England and link up with former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
Arsenal are hoping to tie him down to a new deal, with Alexis entering the final year of his current contract, but the former Barcelona man is not prepared to extend his stay at the Emirates.
Juventus and Bayern Munich had also been keen on signing the 28-year-old, though they had been put off by the forward’s wage demands.
Alexis was the only player to register double figures for both goals (24) and assists (10) in the Premier League last season, with Arsenal understandably eager to keep him in north London.
