Sunderland poised to shatter club transfer record

Sunderland are on the verge of breaking their club transfer record to sign Lorient central midfielder Didier Ndong, according to L’Equipe, via Get French Football.

David Moyes is desperately looking to strengthen his squad before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday evening and Sunderland are in advanced talks with Lorient to sign Ndong.

The Black Cats are in talks to complete a £17m deal that would surpass the £13m they paid to sign Asamoah Gyan from Rennes in 2010.
