West Brom have allegedly had a bid for QPR’s Matthew Phillips rejected.
Phillips impressed in the second half of last season, though his performances were not enough to keep the Hoops in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, the 24-year-old did enough to attract interest from the Baggies, who are keen to add the Scot to their ranks ahead of the upcoming campaign.
However, a reported £5m big has been turned down by QPR, though talks are expected to resume this coming week over a potential deal.
Should the Hoops agree to sell Phillips to West Brom, he will be the Baggies’ second summer acquisition after Tony Pulis’ side secured the services of James McClean on a three-year deal.
