Everton ace still keen on Paris Saint-Germain move

Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye still has his sights set on joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.

PSG have rekindled their interest in the Everton ace after failing to prise the Senegal international away from Goodison Park in January.

The Ligue 1 champions failed to submit an offer Everton were happy with and Gueye spent the remainder of last season with the Toffees.

Gueye, who is currently preparing for Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations final against Algeria, still hasn’t given up hope of securing a move to PSG.

PSG have already bolstered their midfield options with the arrivals of Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia this summer but are still interested in Gueye.

Gueye has developed into one of the most effective defensive midfielders in the Premier League since joining Everton from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016.

In fact, Gueye has made more tackles and interceptions combined (613) than any other player in the Premier League in that period.
