Pressure already building on Crystal Palace manager

Frank de Boer is already under pressure as Crystal Palace manager after the club’s chairman Steve Parish conceded he has not made a good start to life at Selhurst Park.

The Dutchman was appointed Palace head coach on a three-year deal at the end of June after Palace completed a rigorous process to find Sam Allardyce’s successor.

However, the Eagles have lost their opening three Premier League fixtures and are still looking for their first league goal of the season.

De Boer’s solitary win came in a 2-1 win over Championship side Ipswich in the League Cup and there are now reports suggesting Palace believe they have picked the wrong manager and are already looking at potential replacements.

“It’s not been great,” Parish told Sky Sports when asked about the club’s start to the season. It’s a results-based business, so if you don’t get wins - Frank knows that.”

After excelling as Ajax head coach, De Boer’s managerial career is quickly declining. The 49-year-old only last 14 matches at Inter, while he is already facing the chop at Palace just one month into the campaign.
