Blackburn have announced they have signed former Manchester United defender Wes Brown on a free transfer.
Brown, 36, has been without a club since being released by Sunderland at the end of last season and has joined a struggling Rovers outfit on a deal for the rest of the season.
Not only will the former England international be part of the senior squad, Blackburn have also announced he will spend time with Damien Johnson and David Dunn coaching the Under-23s.
Brown’s career has been plagued by a series of re-occurring injuries that has limited the versatile defender’s first team opportunities in recent years. In fact, Brown has only started in 35.7% of league matches in the last seven seasons.
