Juventus consider shock move for Manchester United midfielder
Juventus are considering a sensational move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, reports The Sun.
The Serie A giants have been looking to sign a new box-to-box midfielder all summer having already been heavily linked with a move for Liverpool ace Emre Can and Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi.
However, Juventus have failed to prise Can away from Anfield and are now weighing up a move for Fellaini, although Matuidi remains a top transfer target.
The Belgium international was briefly linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray but Jose Mourinho believes the unpopular figure is one of his most important players at Old Trafford.
Mourinho has publicly backed Fellaini on more than one occasion during his time at the club and even sanctioned a new one-year extension for the midfielder back in January.
However, with Juventus reportedly willing to pay as much as £22.5m for Fellaini, it could convince United to cash in on the 29-year-old.
Since August 2009, Fellaini has committed at least 44 more fouls than any other player in the Premier League (450).
