I want to play for a big club next season, says Liverpool star
Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has revealed he wants to play for a big club next season amid reports linking him with a move to Juventus.
Can’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and no progress has been made by Liverpool to extend his stay.
Juventus have made their desire to sign Can very public this season and are the frontrunners to land his signature on a free transfer in the summer.
The Germany international insists no decisions have been made on his future but has made it clear he wants to play for a big club next season.
“Sure, the Bundesliga would interest me, why not? Although I must say honestly that the level has waned in recent years,” he told Suddeutsche Zeitung, via the Liverpool Echo.
“The Premier League has the power to spend more money on players than the Bundesliga. This is very, very important for players.
“I have self-confidence to say that my qualities are sufficient to play in a very big club next season.”

Despite selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January, Liverpool have shown they can mix it with the big clubs in the transfer window after beating Manchester City to Virgil Van Dijk’s signature at the start of the year.
Jurgen Klopp’s side also wrapped up a deal last summer to sign highly rated RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita at the end of the current campaign.
Since the start of last season, Liverpool have a far superior win ratio in the Premier League when Can has not started (68.4%) compared to when he has featured from the off (54%).
