Klopp eyes first major signing

Jurgen Klopp hasn’t even been Liverpool manager for a week and the Reds are already being linked with players across the continent as the charismatic German looks to transform the club back into title contenders.

Liverpool are supposedly after every single Borussia Dortmund player that Klopp previously managed, but according to ESPN, the Reds could make Swansea City forward Andre Ayew their first signing when the transfer window reopens in January.

Ayew, 25, joined Swansea on a free transfer over the summer from Marseille and has emerged as an early contender for signing of the season following his bright start to life in the Premier League.

Klopp is reportedly a big admirer of the Ghanaian forward and could sanction a move as early as January.

Ayew has already scored four goals and registered one assist in the first eight league games. Furthermore, no player has scored more headed goals than Ayew in the Premier League this season (3).
