Salah to assess Liverpool future next summer

Mohamed Salah has put plans to leave Liverpool on ice but will assess his future at the club next summer, claims The Daily Mirror.

Salah has emerged as one of the best goalscorers in Europe since moving to Liverpool two years ago and has been linked with blockbuster moves to Juventus and Real Madrid as a result.

The Egypt international was understood to be tempted by the prospect of playing for either European giant but has now shelved plans to leave Liverpool for the time being.

Salah does not feel this is the right time to leave Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Tottenham in the Champions League final at the start of the month.

Klopp and Liverpool’s hierarchy are aware of Salah’s decision and know the former Chelsea flop may only be at the club for one more season.

Sadio Mane’s reputation has also soared since the beginning of last season and Liverpool may also have to brace themselves for interest in the Senegal international next summer if he enjoys another eye-catching campaign.

Since returning to the Premier League in the summer of 2017, Salah has scored more goals than any other player in the division (54).
