Gianluigi Donnarumma will sign a contract extension with AC Milan when he celebrates his 18th birthday in February, according to Tuttosport, via Football Italia.
The Italy international has made sensational progress since establishing himself as Milan’s first choice goalkeeper last season and is already attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Juventus reportedly have an eye on making Donnarumma Gianluigi Buffon’s long-term successor but they will have to pay over the odds to sign him with the teenager set for fresh terms early next year.
Of goalkeepers to have featured in at least half of the eight Serie A games this season only Wojciech Szczesny (7.29) has secured a higher rating than Donnarumma (7.15).
