Malaga have entered talks with Sporting Gijon for winger Jony, according to AS.
With safety almost certainly guaranteed, Javi Garcia would already appear to have one eye on next season.
Sporting coach Abelardo has reportedly already requested the club try to extend Jony’s contract, which is due to expire at the end of the season.
However, it would appear their versatile wideman is already on the brink of sealing his exit away from the club.
The 23-year-old, who spent two years in Barcelona's fabled youth academy, has endured a modest campaign so far, but his man of the match performance in their 1-1 draw with Deportivo last time out was enough to get him a spot in the La Liga Team of the Week.
