'I want to stay' - Ospina

David Ospina has admitted that he wants to stay at Arsenal, despite hinting that he has received offers from other clubs.

The arrival of Petr Cech had cast doubt over the Colombian's long-term future at the Emirates Stadium, with rumours abound that the goalkeeper was close to a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

However, Ospina has looked to distance himself from rumours linking him with a move away from the Gunners.

"As of today, I am an Arsenal goalkeeper. I have four years left on my contract. Let's see what happens," Ospina told AS Colombia.

Reports on Friday suggested Everton had enquired about the shotstopper's availability, which the Colombia international was quick nip in the bud.

"Everton? They are a very competitive team, that showed important things last season, with a good coach, and that plays good football. They are a team to take into account and a big possibility. There are some (other) possibilities, but my mind is on Arsenal. I want to continue there," he added.

Of goalkeeper to make at least 5 appearances last season, Ospina had the best save success rate (81%) in the Premier League.
