Valencia star out for the remainder of 2017

Valencia have confirmed star man Goncalo Guedes will be sidelined for up to four weeks with a broken toe.

Guedes picked up the injury before Valencia’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona on Sunday but managed to play through the pain for Los Che.

However, the Portugal international will undergo surgery on Monday after a medical examination discovered a stress fracture in a toe on his right foot.

It means that Guedes will not feature again for Valencia until after the winter break, providing Marcelino’s side with a huge blow as they look to keep pace with league leaders Barcelona.
