Aston Villa are supposedly on the verge of sacking manager Remi Garde, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The Villans are rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, with relegation now a nigh-on certainty following Saturday's 1-0 loss at Swansea City.
And rather than wait for the summer to relieve the Frenchman of his duties, new chairman Steve Hollis could act swiftly to relieve Garde of his duties.
The former Lyon manager is believed to have have lost the backing of the boardroom and the dressing room, with Under-21 coach Kevin MacDonald in line to take temporary charge until an adequate successor can be found.
