Chelsea midfielder returns for third spell on loan in Holland
Marco van Ginkel will return to PSV on loan from Chelsea for a third time, the Eredivisie club have confirmed via their official website.
In a video which shows the club’s shirt waiting for the Dutchman in a hotel room, the club later tweeted stating that an agreement has been reached with the Premier League champions for the midfielder’s return.
The 24-year-old has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge since arriving in 2013 but the Blues still won’t agree to sell the Netherlands international outright, preferring to send him out on loan for the fifth time since he signed.
Having returned to PSV in January, Van Ginkel had a fantastic second half to last season, scoring 7 goals and registering 3 assists in 15 league appearances. After a similarly successful spell at the club in 2015/16, the midfielder has scored 15 goals in just 28 Eredivisie appearances in Eindhoven.
A WhoScored.com rating of 7.53 last time out was second only to Andres Guardado for the third placed outfit in the Dutch top-flight.
