Tottenham have earmarked Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic as one of their top transfer targets this summer, according to Tuttosport, via Metro.
Mandzukic, 29, has previously been linked with a move to White Hart Lane and Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen to rekindle his interest in the Croatia international as he looks to build a squad capable of competing in the Champions League next season.
The former Bayern Munich striker would bring a great deal of experience to the squad having won titles in Germany, Italy and Spain.
Tottenham would have to part with a reported €25m (£20m) to acquire Mandzukic’s services and Pochettino would also have to deal with a fiery character that could upset the balance in the dressing room.
Of players to have scored at least five league goals this season, only Mauro Icardi has a better conversion rate (29.2%) than Mandzukic (25%).
