Villa starlet hit with three-game ban

The Football Association have announced Jack Grealish will serve a three-match ban with immediate effect after being found guilty of violent conduct.

Grealish, 21, was involved in an altercation with Wolves’ Conor Coady at the weekend that was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

The England Under-21 international accepted the charge but contested the severity of the ban, although that has been rejected by an Independent Regulatory Commission, which has ruled him out of Villa’s league match with Reading on Tuesday.

Grealish has been fouled at least eight more times than any other player in the Championship this season (36).
