Norwich have confirmed the signing of teenage full-back Sam McCallum from League One promotion hopefuls Coventry.
The 19-year-old left-back has been a regular for Mark Robins' side this season and his performances have attracted the interest of a handful of Premier League clubs.
Reports even suggested that Liverpool were keeping a close eye on the young defender but were unwilling to meet Coventry's asking price at this time, which was believed to be in the region of £3m.
Premier League strugglers Norwich weren't perturbed by the fee and have agreed to loan McCallum back to Coventry until the end of the season to aid in the Sky Blues' bid to return to the Championship.
Upon the culmination of the campaign the youngster will head to Carrow Road, where he has signed a contract that will run through to the summer of 2024.

McCallum has scored two goals in 18 League One appearances so far this season and earned a WhoScored.com rating of 7.19 - the highest of all players under the age of 22 in the division.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk, McCallum said: “The last 24 hours have been hectic to say the least but quite overwhelming as well. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms, so it’s been good as well.
“I’m quite an athletic player. I play left-back but I can play wing-back as well, so I like to get up and down the wings.
“The club’s got a good philosophy of bringing through young players like Max and Jamal, as well as Ben Godfrey. It’s a good philosophy.
“The style of play attracted me to coming here. I like it a lot. Now I’ve met the people here, they’re very nice as well. Those are the main things.
