Tottenham make Lo Celso switch permanent

Tottenham have announced they have made Giovani Lo Celso's switch from Real Betis permanent.

Lo Celso has penned a five-and-a-half-year deal with Tottenham running until the summer of 2025.

Tottenham have paid a further €32m (£27.1m) to make Lo Celso's switch permanent having already forked out €16m (£13.5m) for a loan fee.

Lo Celso endured a difficult start to life at Tottenham and there were doubts whether he would have a long-term future at the club.

However, the 23-year-old has shown flashes of his immense potential since the turn of the year and is now set to be a big player for the club following Christian Eriksen's departure.
