Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola has revealed the 34-year-old striker turned down a €100m (£86.2m) offer from China before joining Manchester United in the summer.
The former Sweden international was heavily linked a variety of clubs last summer after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired before deciding to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
However, Raiola has now revealed Ibrahimovic could have cashed in on China’s riches but rejected them as he still wants to win the biggest titles.
“Ibrahimovic is the best,” Raiola told Il Giornale, via Football Italia. “He turned down €100m net from the Chinese! He doesn’t want more money, he wants to win.”
Ibrahimovic has scored five goals in nine competitive matches for United this season, including four in four at Old Trafford.
