Kevin Mirallas has left Everton for a return to Olympiacos, from whom the Toffees signed the Belgium international back in 2012, the Greek giants have confirmed via their official Twitter account.
The 30-year-old made a strong impression on Merseyside in his first two seasons at the club in particular but his involvement in first team duties has waned since.
Indeed, this season Mirallas played just 138 minutes of Premier League action across five appearances, seeing more minutes in the club’s Europa League campaign by comparison.
Overall in 151 league appearances for Everton the winger scored 30 goals and registered 19 assists and will return to Greece in the hope of playing enough to earn a place in Belgium’s World Cup squad in the summer.
His signing will certainly excite fans of the club with whom he made a name for himself, with his goals helping Olympiacos to the Greek title in both 2011 and 2012.
