Chelsea goalkeeper Marco Amelia has revealed the club are monitoring AC Milan’s 16-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Donnarumma has launched himself into the spotlight after being named Milan’s No.1 man between the sticks since the start of the season.
The Italian shot-stopper has already drawn comparisons to Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon, and Amelia – a former Milan goalkeeper – has said Chelsea’s scouts are well aware of his talents.
“Here in London it has been spoken a lot about him [Donnarumma],” Amelia told Milan Channel.
“Our scouts and our keepers coaches have commented his performances.
“Donnarumma is followed by many clubs, but I’m convinced Milan will keep him because they need players who will stay many years with Rossoneri jersey.”
Despite his age and inexperience, Donnarumma is yet to concede an error that has directly led to a goal in his 16 league appearances this season.

If Chelsea were sensible - and these past two transfer windows have shown they're not - they'd bin off Courtois and do what they could to sign Donnarumma
