Pogba confirms desire to leave Manchester United

Paul Pogba has put Real Madrid and Juventus on red alert after revealing he wants to leave Manchester United.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to both European giants this summer after losing faith in the direction United are heading.

United re-signed Pogba from Juventus in a club-record deal three years ago but the 2018 World Cup winner has now conceded he wants a fresh challenge.

“Like you said, there is a lot of talking and a lot of thinking as well,” The Guardian quote Pogba as telling reporters in Japan during his promotional tour.

“For me I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

Pogba’s latest comments provide Madrid and Juventus with a huge boost in their pursuit of the 26-year-old, having failed to convince United to lower their valuation of the midfielder.

United have previously made it clear they will not listen to offers less than £150m for Pogba but may now be forced to re-think their valuation.

The transfer fee is not the only obstacle standing in Madrid’s way of signing Pogba, as the Spanish side have reportedly been left blown away by the demands set by his agent Mino Raiola.

Pogba has just enjoyed his best ever league campaign in terms of goals scored after netting 13 times in the Premier League.
