Marseille boss confirms interest in Tottenham, Arsenal and Aston Villa target

Marseille head coach Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that there is interest from a number of Premier League sides for midfielder Morgan Sanson.

The Frenchman has made nine starts for the Ligue 1 giants this season and while he has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the side, the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are believed to be monitoring the 26-year-old.

Aston Villa and West Ham are also believed to be keeping tabs on Sanson as the quartet consider a possible January move for the Marseille man.

Sanson made his first league start in over a month in the weekend's 2-1 defeat to Nimes and, after the game, Villas-Boas confirmed that there is interest in the player and that a move could materialise in January.

"We'll see. The transfer window is open, Sanson is a player who is highly rated," Villas-Boas is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.

"Officially, we have not received any offers, unless it happened during the match.

"He is a boy who interests English teams because of his characteristics, and it is possible that something could happen."
