Dybala still three weeks away

Juventus have confirmed star striker Paulo Dybala is still three weeks away from returning to first-team action.

Dybala, 22, hasn’t featured since picking up a thigh injury in Juventus’ 1-0 defeat to AC Milan at the end of October.

The Argentina international was ruled out of the international break and Juventus has since confirmed he isn’t likely to return until December.

“Paulo Dybala today underwent tests, which showed good progress in the healing process of his injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his right thigh, although it is not yet completed,” read a statement, via Football Italia.

“Therefore, the current situation does not allow him to resume working with the team, which at the moment is conceivable in around three weeks and will be better determined by the results of his next examination.”

Dybala has been a revelation since joining Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and has even been tipped as one of the players to replace Lionel Messi by Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti.

In fact, Dybala has played a direct hand in at least 17 more Serie A goals than any other current Juventus player in that period (33).
