Real Madrid to move for Premier League goalkeeper

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has emerged as a £35m target for Spanish giants Real Madrid, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The 29-year-old Spurs captain is a key member for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and has played a key role in their return to the Champions League.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid reportedly keen on bringing the France number one and captain to the Bernabeu.

Los Blancos failed to sign David De Gea from Manchester United last summer and while Keylor Navas played a crucial role for the La Liga side, Real Madrid remain keen on bringing a new goalkeeper to Spain.

Lloris, who reportedly rejected a new contract prior to Euro 2016, has three years still to run on his current deal, but Spurs are eager to tie him down to a new long term contract, with further talks expected between player and club later this summer.

The Frenchman has previously made it clear that he is happy at Spurs, however.
