Manchester United touch base with Napoli for new right-back

Manchester United have made an enquiry to Napoli for right-back Elseid Hysaj, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Red Devils have made signing a new right-back a priority this summer following Antonio Valencia’s departure.

United have already had two bids for Crystal Palace starlet Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejected and are now considering alternatives.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are also keen on Norwich youngster Max Aarons but have now made an approach for Hysaj.

Hysaj has already confirmed he will leave Napoli this summer and the Premier League could be a likely destination for the 25-year-old.

The Albania international was an ever-present in the Napoli starting XI up until last season under Carlo Ancelotti.

Hysaj started at least 30 league matches in his first three seasons for the Serie A outfit but managed just 24 league starts last term. He has never scored a goal in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
