Chelsea waiting on Terry injury news

Chelsea will have to wait another 24 hours before finding out the extent of captain John Terry’s ankle injury, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Terry left the Liberty City Stadium on crutches after injuring his ankle right at the end of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Swansea on Sunday.

Antonio Conte had hoped to find out the damage on Monday but the Chelsea medical team need to swelling to go down before they can do a scan on his ankle.

The 35-year-old is now a major doubt for Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool on Friday, with David Luiz set to replace him in the team.
