Boro are still focused, insists Rhodes

Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes insists the club will not get ahead of themselves in their pursuit to get promotion to the Premier League.

Rhodes, who joined Boro late in the January transfer window for £9m, scored his first goal for the club in their last outing against MK Dons and are many peoples tip to get promoted to the Premier League this season.

However, the Scotland international insists complacency will not slip into the dressing room between now and the end of the season.

Middlesbrough are a club that are doing very well at the moment but it wuld be nice, come the start of May, to confirm Premier League status,” Rhodes told the FL72 Podcast.

“But there is plenty of work between now and then so there is no point thinking about the longer aim because it is very much the here and now that is going to determine whether the dream is going to happen.”
