Belgium international wants United switch

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has rejected an offer from Chelsea and has earmarked a move to Manchester United as his number one priority, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via 101 Great Goals.

Nainggolan, 28, has been Chelsea’s main transfer target since Italy national team head coach Antonio Conte was named their new boss but he has seemingly been served an early blow before he has even arrived at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium international has reportedly knocked back Chelsea’s advances in recent days and is open to remaining at Roma in favour of Champions League football and would only leave Luciano Spalletti’s side for United.

Since August 2013 only two players have won possession more times in the midfield third in Serie A than Nainggolan (417).
