Liverpool to rival PSG and Real Madrid for teenage centre-back

Liverpool are prepared to rival European heavyweights PSG and Real Madrid in the race to sign Lille centre-back Leny Yoro, reports Telefoot via AS.

Yoro is enjoying a breakout season for Les Dogues and has firmly established himself as a first team regular for the Ligue 1 outfit.

The 18-year-old's performances haven't gone unnoticed either with a host of Europe's elite keeping tabs on the teenage centre-back.

Lille are expected to command a hefty fee for one of their prized assets in order to ward off interest until at least the summer.

Liverpool will be looking to add another centre-back at the end of the season with Joel Matip's contract expiring later this year.

Real Madrid's backline requires an injection of youth while PSG are short on centre-back options beyond Marquinhos and Milan Skriniar.

Yoro's composure on the ball has belied his tender years, with a 91.5% pass success rate ranking eighth in Ligue 1 to reinforce a statistically calculated WhoScored strength of 'passing'.
