Manchester United haven't abandoned their interest in Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana despite David de Gea signing a new long-term deal, claims The Daily Mirror.
Onana was heavily linked with a move to United in the summer when De Gea was contemplating his future at Old Trafford.
De Gea eventually signed a new long-term deal with United in September but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are still keen on Onana, who has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham.
Hugo Lloris is not expected to return to full fitness until the end of January after undergoing surgery for a dislocated elbow last week.
Mauricio Pochettino has earmarked Onana as a potential replacement for Lloris and Ajax will demand in the region of £50m for his signature in January.
Onana has already conceded a desire to play in the Premier League but news United are still in the hunt for his signature has come as a shock.
Since the beginning of last season, only AZ Alkmaar shot-stopper Marco Bizot (23) has kept more clean sheets than Onana (21) in the Eredivisie.
