Tottenham have announced Dele Alli has signed a new six-year deal keeping him at the club until 2022.
Alli, 20, only penned a five-year deal in January but the England international has been rewarded for his performances in 2016 as Mauricio Pochettino’s side look to make him central to their plans going forward.
The Tottenham midfielder is yet to hit the same heights of last season but he has followed in the footsteps of the likes of Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen and Tom Carroll in recently signing contract extensions.
“I can’t think of anywhere better with the fans, the manager and the young team we’ve got here – it’s a great place to be,” Alli told Spurs’ official website.
Since the start of last season no player aged 21 and under has played a direct hand in more goals in Europe’s big five leagues than Alli (20).
