Besiktas have announced they are in preliminary talks to sign defender Gokhan Gonul.
Gonul, 31, is officially a free agent after his deal with Fenerbahce expired at midnight of Thursday.
The Super Lig champions have notified the stock exchange of their preliminary talks with the Turkey international, who featured in their disastrous Euro 2016 campaign.
Only Ali Camdali (3.8) average more tackles per game in the Super Lig last season than Gonul (3.7).
