Mbappe is not the only Monaco player Arsenal want this summer

Monaco have already rejected an £86m bid from Arsenal for Kylian Mbappe and now they will need to brace themselves for interest from the Premier League side for star winger Thomas Lemar, reports L’Equipe, via Get French Football.

Arsene Wenger is ready to invest heavily into his Arsenal squad after resolving his own future at the club and is eyeing a raid of former club Monaco to transform the Gunners into genuine title challengers next season.

The Arsenal manager wants to build his team around 18-year-old Mbappe next season and has already seen a club-transfer record bid for the France international turned down, while the Gunners also want to sign his teammate, Lemar.

Arsenal are still sweating on the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil this summer, who have both entered the final 12 months of their current deals, but Wenger is looking to be positive in the transfer window by snapping up two of Monaco’s best players.

Leonardo Jardim’s side have already lost Bernardo Silva to Manchester City with Benjamin Mendy is expected to follow suit, but losing another two players as key as Mbappe and Lemar would be a real hammer blow following their stunning campaign.

Lemar was the only player to register double figures for assists in Ligue 1 this season (10), while the 21-year-old also scored nine goals in 34 league appearances.
