Manchester United star set to agree new £350,000-a-week deal

David de Gea is ready to commit his long-term future to Manchester United by signing a new five-year deal worth £350,000-a-week, reports The Sun.

The Spain international’s existing deal is due to expire at the end of next season but United have an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

Jose Mourinho’s side are desperate to secure De Gea’s long-term future with Real Madrid circling and will be handed a major boost before the World Cup.

De Gea is set to sign one of the most lucrative deals in United’s history as a reward for developing into one of the world’s best goalkeepers.

Madrid are in danger of missing out on their top two goalkeeping targets this summer as Thibaut Courtois recently confirmed he will still be at Chelsea next season.

Only Jan Oblak (19) and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (18) have kept more clean sheets than De Gea (16) in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
