Chelsea and Everton could be dealt a blow in their pursuit of Kalidou Koulibaly with Napoli set to offer him a contract extension, according to Sky Sports Italia, via Football Italia.
Koulibaly, 25, has been heavily linked with a move to both Premier League clubs this summer but the Serie A side are desperate to keep hold of the centre back with Gonzalo Higuain set to leave.
The Senegal international still has three years remaining on his current deal but Napoli want to rewarded the defender with new and improved terms.
Only Francesco Acerbi (319) has won possession in the defensive third more themes in the last two Serie A campaigns than Koulibaly (270).
