Manchester City star given all clear to train

Sergio Aguero is expected to return to Manchester City training as normal despite suffering from illness on international duty with Argentina, reports The Guardian.

The 29-year-old was taken to a Russian hospital as a precaution after suffering from dizzy spells during their shock 4-2 defeat to Nigeria in Krasnordar on Tuesday night.

Aguero was given the all clear by doctors and is now expected to be available for City’s trip to Leicester on Saturday, although Pep Guardiola will not take any risks.

Guardiola has an abundance of talent at his disposal in attack and knows there will be someone that can step in and cover for the Argentine striker if he is not fully fit to feature.

Aguero, who recently became City’s all-time leading goal scorer, has made a flying start to the season, but his potential absence could benefit Gabriel Jesus, who has dropped to the bench in recent matches.

The City No.10 has scored eight goals in seven Premier League appearances this season, more than Bournemouth, Swansea (both 7) and Crystal Palace (4).
