Bayern Munich and Juventus keen on Manchester United youngster

Bayern Munich and Juventus have emerged as shock suitors for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, claims ESPN.

Henderson joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan deal last summer and his current United deal does not expire until the summer of 2020.

United also have an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months after penning new terms before the start of the current campaign.

Henderson was expected to leave on a free transfer but ended up renewing with the Red Devils before being sent to Sheffield United for the season.

The 21-year-old is playing a key role in the Blades’ promotion push from the Championship and his performances have alerted Bayern and Juventus.

There is a growing confidence that David de Gea will commit his future to United before the end of the season and that will only reduce Henderson’s chances of making it at the club further.

Henderson, who played an integral role in England’s U20 World Cup triumph in 2017, has kept 10 clean sheets in 30 league games this season.

In fact, only Darren Randolph (13) has kept more than Henderson in the Championship this season. Furthermore, Henderson has a save success rate of 69.6% in those matches.
