Fernando Llorente has set his sights on winning a new Tottenham contract, claims TalkSPORT.
Llorente’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and he was even linked with a move away this month.
The 33-year-old has struggled for playing time since joining Tottenham 18 months ago but Harry Kane’s injury has served up an expected opportunity for the veteran.
With Kane not expected to return from an ankle injury until the start of March, Llorente potentially has five matches to earn a new deal.
After missing a sitter earlier in Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Watford on Wednesday, Llorente made amends with the match-winner - his first Premier League goal in 12 months.
Llorente has actually played a direct hand in six goals in his last six appearances for Tottenham, helped after he netted a hat-trick in an FA Cup tie with lower-league opponents Tranmere.
