Chelsea could move for Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann as a possible replacement for John Terry, reports the Mirror.
The Blues are eyeing up possible successors for Terry, who at 35-years-old doesn't have long left in the game.
John Stones was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the summer, yet a deal failed to materialise.
Everton would demand upwards of £40m for Stones, which could force Chelsea to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements.
Chelsea would be prepared to double Dann's money should he move to west London, though the 28-year-old would be reluctant to leave Crystal Palace having struck up a good working relationship with Alan Pardew.
