Argentine agrees on PSG stay

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has agreed to remain at the club amid speculation linking him with a move away in the summer, according to Get French Football.

Pastore, 26, has dropped down the pecking order this season following the arrival of Angel di Maria last summer and injuries had limited his involvement.

As a result the Argentina international had been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes stadium with the likes of Juventus and Chelsea credited with an interest in the creative midfielder.

However, any potential suitor has been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the former Palermo ace after a meeting with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi concluded with Pastore committing his future to the Ligue 1 champions.

Despite only featuring in 16 league matches this season only teammate Di Maria (118.6 mins) required fewer minutes per assist in Ligue 1 from those to have featured in at least 10 matches (145.8 mins).
