Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has spoken to Mino Raiola about a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Corriere dello Sport, via Tribal Football.
Donnarumma, 17, has been a sensation since making his debut for AC Milan last season and his performances have even earned him his senior Italy debut this year.
There are continued question marks surrounding Thibaut Courtois’ long-term future at Chelsea and Conte appears to already have one eye on his replacement after sounding out Donnarumma’s agent about a potential transfer.
Of goalkeepers to have featured in more than three Serie A matches this season only Roma No.1 Wojciech Szczesny (7.29) has a higher WhoScored rating than Donnarumma (7.17).
