Chelsea categorically rule out Hazard move to Manchester City

Chelsea are not prepared to let Eden Hazard join Manchester City even if Pep Guardiola’s side make a world record £200m bid, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The City board have promised Guardiola a marquee summer signing after Alexis Sanchez stunned the Premier League leaders by joining rivals Manchester United earlier this month.

Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Chelsea would rival Real Madrid for Hazard’s signature if the Belgium international does not extend his contract before the summer.

Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid in the last few years and speculation is expected to intensify for as long as 27-year-old stalls on a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea may prove powerless in preventing Hazard from signing for Madrid but Antonio Conte’s side have categorically ruled any possibility of the Belgian joining City, even if Guardiola’s side make a world record bid.

The Chelsea No.10 has been in immense form for the Blues this season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 20 league games.

Not only that, but of players to attempt at leas 50 dribbles in Europe’s top five leagues this season, Hazard (80.2%) has the best success rate.
