Manchester United have held secret talks with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s representatives regarding a summer move, according to The Daily Mirror.
Aubameyang, 26, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since the start of the season and his form in front of goal has put him in a bracket among the best strikers in Europe at the moment.
Arsenal have been previously mooted with a move to the Gabon international but United appear to have moved ahead of their Premier League rivals in the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund frontman despite the growing managerial uncertainty.
Only Robert Lewandowski (25) has scored more goals in the Bundesliga this season than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (22), who ranks in the top 10 for scorers across Europe’s top five leagues as well.
