Liverpool target to discuss Dortmund future

Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc has revealed the club will sit down with Neven Subotic in the winter break to discuss his future.

Subotic, 26, has been linked with a move to join Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and could be on his way out of Dortmund in January in search of first-team football.

The Serbia international has dropped down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel with even central midfielder Sven Bender preferred at centre back and Zorc admits they will discuss his future soon.

“We have a couple of games until the winter break and then we will sit down and discuss the situation [with Subotic],” the Dortmund sporting director told Kicker.

Of current players still at Dortmund, only three players have played fewer minutes than Subotic in the Bundesliga this season (180 mins).
