Andros Townsend has edged closer to leaving Tottenham after being ordered to train with the U21 squad following a bust up with the club’s physio.
The England international has fallen down the pecking order since Mauricio Pochettino took over at Spurs and had been linked heavily with a move to Aston Villa over the summer.
Townsend, 24, will now train with the development squad until the transfer window reopens after an altercation with the physio coach after their 3-1 win over Villa on Monday night.
Only four Spurs players have featured less than Townsend in the Premier League this season (64 minutes).
