Drogba ponders Serie A move

Serie A strugglers Bologna are hoping of securing the services of Didier Drogba on a season-long loan deal from Montreal Impact, according to the Daily Mirror.

Drogba, 37, has been in sensational form since making the switch to MLS and has been integral to the Impacts’ progress into the latter stages of the play-offs.

However, with the competition set to finish at the start of December, Drogba’s services could become available and the former Chelsea striker is reportedly weighing up an offer from Bologna.

The Rossoblu have recently parted ways with their manager and are currently in the bottom three, one point from safety having won just three of their opening 10 league games.

Goals have proven a problem for the newly promoted side and a striker of Drogba’s ilk would certainly supply them.

In fact, no player has required fewer minutes per goal in MLS this season than Drogba (79.1 mins) of those to have started at least one game.
